Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines.
Who can use Aheri
- You must be 18 or older, and legally able to enter this agreement.
- You must give true information, including your real date of birth.
- One person, one account. Your photos must show you.
- You must not have been removed from Aheri before.
Your account
Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at support@aheri.co.ke if you think someone else has used it.
How you may use the service
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, blackmail or expose anyone, or share another person's private information;
- pretend to be someone else, or use photos that are not of you;
- ask others for money, run scams, advertise or spam;
- post explicit, violent or illegal content;
- collect other members' information, or use bots or scripts;
- try to break, overload or get around our security or verification.
Verification
A Verified badge means an account passed our photo check at a recorded time. It does not guarantee anyone's identity, intentions or safety. We may ask you to verify again, for example when your photos change.
Your content
You own your photos and words. You give us permission to store, process and show them to other members as part of running Aheri. This permission ends when you delete your content or account, apart from copies we must keep for safety or legal reasons for the periods in our Privacy Policy.
Moderation
We may remove content, hide profiles, suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. If you think we got it wrong, email us and a person will take another look.
Meeting people
We do not run background checks and cannot control what members do offline. You are responsible for your own safety when you meet someone. Read our Safety page.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Liability
Aheri is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it safe and running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we are not responsible for what members say or do, online or in person. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Kenyan law that cannot be limited.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya can hear any dispute about them. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you before it takes effect.
